Armed Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through active surveillance, conflict management, and rapid response to incidents. Your expertise in law enforcement procedures, CCTV monitoring, and emergency first aid will be vital in safeguarding our facilities. Responsibilities

• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and physical patrols to monitor activity and identify potential threats or breaches of security.
• Manage access control by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including conflicts or disturbances, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.
• Perform detailed inspections of personnel and property to prevent theft, loss prevention, and unauthorized access.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies, providing accurate reports and support as needed.
• Administer first aid or CPR in case of medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
• Maintain comprehensive records of daily activities, incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance footage documentation.

Experience

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields demonstrating strong situational awareness and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and security technology platforms.
• Knowledge of conflict management strategies and emergency response procedures.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; ongoing training in security protocols is preferred.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Prior experience with loss prevention techniques or working within a high-security environment is advantageous.

Must Have:

• candidates must be either former Military or Law Enforcement,
• or have at least 5 years working as an armed security officer.
• Must have valid Armed Guard card and OPATA certificate.
• Candidate must have at least 1 year of customer service experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 per hour
