Job Title: Security Officer (Full-Time / Part-Time)

Job Overview
Sentry Security and Investigations is seeking professional and dependable Security Officers to join our growing team. This role is responsible for protecting client properties, personnel, and assets through proactive patrol, strong situational awareness, and effective incident response.

Officers must maintain a visible presence, deter criminal activity, and handle situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and clear communication.

Pay: Starting at $16.00 per hour
Higher rates available based on experience, qualifications, and certifications

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols
• Monitor for suspicious activity and safety concerns
• Control access and verify authorized individuals
• Respond to incidents and emergencies
• De-escalate conflicts and maintain order
• Complete detailed and accurate reports at end of shift

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Clean background (must pass BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation) and FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) checks)
• Reliable smartphone (required for scheduling, reporting, and communication)
• Reliable personal vehicle
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

• Security, military, or law enforcement experience
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) / First Aid and AED certification
• Experience with CCTV and access control systems

Training Provided
All officers are offered in-house training through Sentry Defense Training Services, including:

• First Aid, CPR, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
• Bloodborne Pathogens
• Stop The Bleed
• BLS
• De-escalation and communication
• Defensive tactics
• Report writing
• Impact Weapons Training, OC Training, Handcuffing Techniques

Work Environments
Apartments, hotels, construction sites, warehouses, and special events
