Unarmed Security Guard

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. In this role, you will monitor access points, conduct surveillance, and maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive presence will help prevent theft, manage conflicts, and respond effectively to emergencies. This position offers an engaging opportunity to serve as the first line of defense in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and exits to authorize authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors while maintaining accurate logs of all entries and exits
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to oversee property activity and identify potential security issues
• Perform routine patrols around the premises to deter unauthorized activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Respond promptly to incidents or disturbances, applying conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and reporting concerns according to established procedures
• Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, supporting health emergencies with confidence and professionalism
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or investigations as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and security protocols
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security best practices
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail during patrols and surveillance activities
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts

Pay: $16.00 – $16.50 per hour
