Unarmed Security Officer (2nd Shift)

Unarmed Security Officer: 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Weekend availability required.

NOTE: This position requires a strong, dependable, and professional officer who understands how to work in a challenging security environment. This site can be active, demanding, and at times confrontational. It is not the right fit for everyone. The ideal candidate must have previous security experience, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities include:

• Patrol assigned areas to help secure the premises, employees, visitors, and property
• Monitor access points and permit authorized entry
• Observe, report, and respond to suspicious activity, safety concerns, and policy violations
• Use professional communication and de-escalation skills when addressing individuals
• Report irregularities, incidents, disturbances, or unsafe conditions
• Contact supervisors, law enforcement, or emergency services when necessary
• Complete written reports documenting observations, incidents, and daily activity
• Monitor surveillance equipment, buildings, equipment, and surrounding areas
• Assist with traffic or crowd control when needed
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence at all times
• Follow all company policies, post orders, and legal requirements
• Contribute to a team-focused work environment by completing assigned responsibilities
• Represent ASAP Security with integrity and professionlism

Requirements:

• Previous security experience required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Driver’s License required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must have dependable transportation and your own vehicle
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in an active and potentially aggressive environment
• Must have strong de-escalation and communication skills
• Must be dependable, alert, professional, and able to follow instructions
• Clean criminal record required; no felonies
• Smartphone required for business operations
• Commitment, integrity, and professionalism required for daily responsibilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
