Job Description

As a Security Guard – Unarmed Patrol Officer in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial services location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Through clear communication, detailed reporting, and professional customer service, you will support employees and visitors while living our agile, reliable, and innovative approach. You will deliver through teamwork and act with integrity every shift.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting and documenting activities per site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including offices, common areas, and exterior perimeter, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and employee and/or visitor movement as assigned, assisting with badge checks, visitor sign-in, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Observe and report conditions that may impact operations, property, and/or personnel, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
