Responsibilities

• Monitor school grounds using CCTV systems and perform regular patrols to identify potential security risks or suspicious activity.
• Control access points by verifying identities, performing background checks on visitors, and managing entry and exit procedures.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established protocols, including fire safety, medical incidents, or security breaches.
• Conduct thorough incident report writing to document any security concerns, accidents, or unusual occurrences accurately and promptly.
• Perform physical security duties such as heavy lifting when necessary and manual handling of equipment or supplies to support school operations.
• Utilize law enforcement techniques when needed, including conflict de-escalation and conflict management to resolve disputes peacefully.
• Operate access control systems and CCTV surveillance equipment to maintain constant vigilance over the school environment.
• Administer first aid and CPR in emergency situations while operating AED devices and Taser if required for safety purposes.
• Enforce compliance with all security regulations and policies to ensure a safe educational setting for everyone involved.
• Assist in emergency response procedures such as fire drills or lockdowns, ensuring all protocols are followed efficiently.

Experience

• Prior experience in security roles within educational institutions, military settings, law enforcement agencies, or similar environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of physical security practices including CCTV operation, access control systems, and alarm systems
• Familiarity with incident report writing and performing background checks aligns with the responsibilities of this role.
• Strong skills in conflict management, conflict de-escalation techniques, and emergency response procedures are essential.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining high alertness during patrols or inspections.
• A commitment to compliance with security regulations combined with excellent customer service skills ensures positive interactions within the school community.
