Security Officer Overnight Nights

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to join our team and ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and responding swiftly to any incidents or emergencies. Your role is vital in maintaining a secure environment where everyone can work confidently and comfortably. Duties

• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity across the premises and identify potential security threats.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Perform routine patrols inside and outside the facility to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Manage conflict situations professionally, de-escalating disputes and ensuring safety for all parties involved.
• Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records accurately and promptly.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by monitoring for theft or vandalism and implementing preventative measures.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures with experience in surveillance systems such as CCTV.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• First aid certification and CPR training to respond effectively during medical emergencies.
• Ability to perform physical patrols, stand or walk for extended periods, and respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies to protect company assets effectively.

Pay: $18.50 per hour
