Security Staff

Position Summary:

This position provides security for the congregation and church property. The security staff reports directly to the Security Supervisor and Senior Pastor. Security Staff are scheduled as needed for church worship services, rehearsals, activities, and special events.

Primary/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Notify the police in case of emergency, including: break-ins, vandalism, theft, and assault.
• Escort members, visitors, and staff members to parking areas, especially during evening hours.
• Ensure that church buildings and grounds are protected from unauthorized visitors.
• Provide information and direct people to the sanctuary and other meeting areas.
• Direct traffic before and after church services and other events
• Perform other duties per request of the Senior Pastor.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or G.E.D.

2. One year of experience as a security guard, police officer, or military police officer. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

3. Preference will be given to candidates with previous security or law enforcement experience.

4. Complete Safe Sanctuary Training (within a 90-day Probationary Period) or as required.

5. Complete Sexual Harassment Training as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

• Evening shift
