Job Title: ER Security Officer
Location: Evanston, IL
Shift: Friday – Sunday 10:30 pm – 7 am
Pay: $19 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant ER Security Officer to join our team at a hospital in Evanston, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure environment in the Emergency Room, This role requires a high level of attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to respond quickly to emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol the Emergency Room.
- Help enforce hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Provide a visible and professional security presence.
- Complete detailed reports of incidents and activities during the shift.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Check that all security equipment is functional and report any issues.
Requirements:
- Valid PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) card.
- Completion of a 20-hour basic security training course.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Prior experience in security, particularly in a healthcare setting, is preferred but not required.
