Unarmed Security Officer ($18/hr Immediate hiring in Aurora, IL)

This position involves warehouse access control. Candidates must have open availability for the 1st shift and some 2nd shift available, a combination of booth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain overall safety and security within assigned premises and surrounding areas
• Conduct routine patrols in accordance with established security protocols
• Proactively identify and assess potential security threats or vulnerabilities
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or unusual activity
• Accurately complete incident reports and all required documentation in a timely manner
• Monitor and operate security systems, including alarms and surveillance cameras
• Provide assistance and support to employees, visitors, and guests as needed
• Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services during critical incidents or escalations
• Enforce site-specific policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum age of 21 years
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must possess a valid security guard license (PERC Card) with expiration no earlier than 2027
• Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance, conduct, and customer service orientation
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and carrying items for extended periods
• Ability to perform tasks requiring sustained physical effort and endurance
• Familiarity with basic security procedures, protocols, and emergency response techniques
