Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Flex Unarmed Security Officer to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be the frontline guardian of our facilities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring premises through surveillance systems, conducting patrols, managing access control, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Duties

• Conduct thorough patrols of the premises to identify security vulnerabilities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activity and detect suspicious behavior.
• Manage access control systems to authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities.
• Perform background checks on visitors or vendors as required to maintain a secure environment.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using established procedures, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, or security threats.
• Enforce compliance with security regulations and company policies through vigilant observation and conflict de-escalation techniques.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles is preferred; military background is a plus.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; AED operation knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control systems, and surveillance technology.
• Strong skills in incident report writing, conflict management, and emergency response procedures.
• Knowledge of security tools such as Tasers or firearm handling (where legally permitted) is beneficial.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in high-pressure situations.
• Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties and handle physical security tasks effectively.
