Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years armed security experience

OR
3 years plus 1+ year in a security management or supervisory role

• Eligible for armed security employment in Illinois
• Ability to obtain required state licenses and credentials
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

About the Role

Mark International of Illinois, Inc. is hiring an Armed Security Supervisor to lead on-site security operations at a licensed cannabis dispensary on the south side of Chicago.

This position is ideal for a disciplined, professional leader who is comfortable managing people, schedules, and compliance while maintaining a strong on-site presence. The supervisor serves as the primary company representative at the location and is expected to lead by example at all times.

Mark International is a veteran-led security company founded and operated by retired U.S. Marines. Professionalism, accountability, and composure are non-negotiable.

Supervisory Authority & Scheduling

The Security Supervisor has full control of the post staff and schedule, including:

• Assigning shifts and rotations ( You can schedule yourself Mon-Fri)
• Hiring / Firing
• Approving shift changes and time off
• Managing coverage for daily operations
• Coordinating additional staff for special events or high-traffic periods
• Free FCC requals and annual compliance training for IDFPR

With this authority comes responsibility. The supervisor is accountable for ensuring all shifts are covered. If an officer fails to report for duty, the supervisor must secure coverage through an emergency officer or cover the shift themselves when necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all security officers assigned to the post
• Ensure officers maintain daily logbook entries and follow all SOPs
• Submit emergency and incident reports in a timely manner
• Compile and submit monthly logbook reports to the Security Director
• Submit accurate bi-weekly timecards for all officers to ensure proper payroll
• Serve as the on-site point of contact between Mark International and the client
• Maintain a professional, calm, and authoritative presence at all times.

Dispensary Security Duties

• Ensure safe arrival and departure of dispensary staff
• Control access to the premises and prevent unauthorized entry
• Ensure contractors sign in and are issued guest passes
• Protect and defend the premises, staff, and customers in accordance with Illinois law and company SOPs.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and readiness.

Licensing & Compliance

• Ensure all officers under supervision remain compliant with IDFPR requirements and carry required credentials while on duty
• Obtain and maintain:
• Illinois PERC and Firearm Control Card (FCC Card)
• Illinois Department of Agriculture Cannabis Agent License

The supervisor role will be the first security position filled for this new contract. The supervisor should expect to work with Mark International during the interview process to find suitable applicants to fill the remainder of the post schedule.
