JOB DESCRIPTION
Armed Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of your assigned post. Armed Security Officers are tasked with patrolling a designated area, responding to safety and security threats, and establishing a security presence. Armed Security Officers may be asked to perform many essential functions and duties at their assigned post to include, but not limited to:
- Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas.
- Patrol designated areas in accordance with established security procedures.
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
- Complete Incident Reports and required documentation for all security incidents.
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all personnel, visitors and post.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy.
- Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have.
- Escalate emergency situations to Law Enforcement as necessary.
- Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a California Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit prior to hire.
- Preferred: Baton Permit, Chemical Agent Permit, TASER Certification (Optional), must acquire within (30) days of employment.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet all California security licensing requirements for Armed Security Officers.
- One (1) year of armed security experience, or former military (with Honorable Discharge), or former Law Enforcement.
- Working knowledge of basic security techniques.
- Availability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking and standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.
- Neat and professional appearance, in accordance with established company standards.
- Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to wear issued uniform.
- No Misdemeanor or Felony Convictions.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Ability to pass background check.

- Guard Card Certificate of Training
- Exposed Firearm Certificate of Training
- Certificate of Training, (32) hours of Security Skills Training, in accordance with AB 2880.
- Certificate of Training, (8) of Continuing Education, ongoing training
AVAILABILITY
- Armed posts only. Assigned location may vary based on operational needs.
- Armed Security Officers will be offered a full-time position upon successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.

EMPLOYER OFFERINGS
- Armed Security Officer position salary is based on the individual’s experience. Pay is hourly based ranging between $23.00-25.00 per hour.
