Job Description

About the Role:

This position supports the Graue Mill community of 243 residences of varying sizes with a range of building styles including mid-rise units, villas, townhomes, and detached single-family residences. The Graue Mill Homeowners Association is responsible for providing services to the residents and the five separate condominium associations and maintaining the grounds, the clubhouse, outdoor swimming pool, and tennis courts. The property offers many amenities to owners such as a clubhouse, an outdoor heated swimming pool, and tennis courts. A park featuring a putting green, basketball hoop and a pergola provides green space for residents to enjoy. The staffed gatehouse controls access to Graue Mill by residents, guests and approved contractors twenty-four hours every day.

Gatehouse Attendants report to the Gatehouse Supervisor who reports to the Community Association Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor property entrance and authorize entrance of visitors including guests, service providers, contractors, and deliveries and their vehicles
  • Notify residents of visitors entering the property and provide guest passes
  • Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings as directed by the Community Association Manager. Such reporting should be communicated either to the Community Association Manager or local police, as necessary, by calling 911
  • Respond to emergency notices and react in a timely manner by calling the local authorities.
  • Proved assistance to people in need by offering directions and providing exceptional customer service
  • Receive after-hour emergency calls that should be redirected to the Community Association Manager or the maintenance team, where appropriate for further escalation.
  • Practice and adhere to Graue Mill Country Residences Service Standards
  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct
  • Maintain logs such as vendor, resident and property keys as required.
  • Provide keys to authorized users of amenities such as the Clubhouse and tennis courts, logging them out and when the keys are returned.
  • Provide keys to authorized users of condominium buildings or individual units, logging them out and when the keys are returned.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of work experience as a Gatehouse Attendant or similar security or public service role
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate and use a computer for emails, community website and property management system
  • Ability to engage public authorities such as law enforcement or fire department, when necessary to promote public safety
  • Ability to provide written report of incidents
  • Surveillance and observation skills
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Must report promptly for work as scheduled; able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned
  • Able to pass a background check (criminal history, employment and education verification and reference checks)
