Security Guard

As a Security Guard, you will be the first line of defense, ensuring compliance with security protocols while providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff alike. Your proactive approach will help prevent incidents and respond effectively when emergencies arise, creating a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Duties

• Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems and perform regular patrols via vehicle and foot patrol to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety protocols, first aid administration, AED operation, and emergency response coordination.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security events, breaches, or accidents to ensure accurate record-keeping and follow-up actions.
• Perform physical security tasks such as heavy lifting and manual handling when necessary to secure equipment or manage crowd control situations.
• Engage in conflict management and de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety standards.
• Have a mobile device as its used to clock in and out using secured app.

Skills

• Proven experience with surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control platforms.
• Background in military or law enforcement enhances situational awareness and emergency response capabilities.
• Certified in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and fire safety procedures.
• Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail for legal and administrative purposes.
• Knowledge of security regulations, compliance standards, and performing background checks on personnel.
• Proficient in conflict de-escalation, conflict management, and customer service to handle diverse situations professionally.
• Physical fitness for performing patrolling duties that involve heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.

Pay: $18.00 – $24.50 per hour
