Security Officer – Retail | Downtown Chicago, IL

We are hiring dependable, professional, and motivated Security Officers to provide security for a retail store in Downtown Chicago, IL.

Duties are as follows, duties include but are not limited to:

• Observe: Maintain awareness and identify inconsistencies.
• Report: Document incidents, critical situations, and daily activity.
• Deter: Maintain a professional presence to prevent security issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift Hours

• 9:30am to 8:30pm (hours are subject to change)

Qualified applicants for the position will meet the minimum requirements, as described below:

• Must have tan khaki pants and black tactical boots.
• Weekends required
• Active PERC license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Age 25+
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Minimum 1 year of retail security experience
• Must pass a background check and post-offer drug/alcohol screening

Essential Physical and Mental Functions:

• Stand and walk for extended periods on various surfaces
• Occasionally climb, bend, twist, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., and run when necessary
• Use hands, vision, hearing, and communication skills continuously to observe, report, and interact with the public
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Maintain strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and professionalism
• Complete clear written reports and follow operating procedures; basic computer skills may be required
• Handle high-volume public interactions effectively
