After-School Security Guard

Must be available between 3pm – 6pm

Scope of Services:

The Security Guard is responsible for enforcing student safety and behavior policies. They must also ensure students are not walking the halls during programming and that no school property is being vandalized. Security must supervise all students and report any suspicious activity.

Summary of Services:

• Directing anyone who comes in the building
• Know the school’s emergency protocol
• Enforce student safety and behavior policies
• Supervise students during dismissal time
• Monitor the halls and the school’s surrounding to deter incidents
• Report suspicious behavior to resource coordinator
• Protect the physical integrity of all student participants
• Other related work assignments as needed

Qualification Requirements:

• Previous security experience in a school setting
• Responsible
• Dependable
• Welcoming
• Great communication skills
• Must be able to pass a background check and fill out all required employment documentation
• Good communication with parents, students, school admin and staff
• Any changes in the work schedule MUST be previously approved by the Resource Coordinator
• Ability to work independently with strong sense of focus, task-oriented, non-judgmental, clear sense of boundaries
• Ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse families and communities and ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate
• Fluent in Spanish (Required)
• Pass a background check
• Undergo Tb testing

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
