We are seeking a vigilant and reliable individual with proven experience in loss prevention to join our team as an Unarmed Security Officer in a retail store setting. The primary responsibility of this role is to protect our client’s merchandise, premises, personnel, and assets through proactive loss prevention practices, strong observational skills, and professional, composed handling of potentially stressful situations.

Responsibilities:

Patrol assigned areas regularly to deter and detect theft, unauthorized activity, and other losses

Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to suspicious behavior or security breaches

Conduct thorough inspections of the premises to ensure all doors, windows, and access points are secure
-
Respond promptly to requests for assistance or emergencies, such as medical incidents, disturbances, or accidents

Maintain accurate logs and detailed written reports of security incidents, loss prevention activity, disturbances, and other noteworthy events during shifts

Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients with inquiries, directions, and other needs

Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when necessary

Follow company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to uphold security and loss prevention standards

Participate in paid additional training to enhance knowledge of loss prevention techniques, security protocols, emergency response procedures, and relevant laws

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Proven experience as a security officer or guard

20-hour state certification and PERC Card (REQUIRED)

Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety

High School diploma is required; further education in security administration or a similar field is preferred
