Responsibilities

• Enforce museum policies by managing access points, verifying visitor tickets, and controlling entry to sensitive areas.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations or security breaches, utilizing first aid and CPR skills when necessary.
• Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and ensure accurate documentation of daily activities.
• Engage with visitors professionally to provide directions, answer questions, and promote a positive experience while maintaining security protocols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents requiring specialized intervention or investigation.
• Conduct loss prevention activities by observing for suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism of exhibits.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques.
• Ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• First aid and CPR certification to respond confidently in medical emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting, visitor interaction, and teamwork.
• Familiarity with security procedures related to loss prevention, access control, and emergency response protocols.
• Experience with conflict management strategies to de-escalate tense situations efficiently.
