Hotel Security Guard

The hotel security guard protects guests, staff, and property by patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to emergencies.

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Property Patrols: Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of hallways, parking lots, lobbies, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.

• 
  Access Control: Monitor entry points, check guest or employee credentials, and restrict access to back-of-house or private event spaces.

• 
  Emergency Response: Respond quickly to disturbances, medical situations, or fire alarms, administering basic first aid or CPR and coordinating with local emergency services when necessary.

• 
  Guest Assistance: Provide polite, customer-focused service by answering questions, resolving noise complaints, and escorting guests or staff during late hours.

• 
  Incident Reporting: Maintain detailed logs and write clear reports on daily activities, security breaches, or property damage.

• 
  Surveillance Operation: Monitor CCTV camera feeds and alarm panels to identify potential safety hazards or suspicious activities.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• 
  Experience: Prior work in security, law enforcement, military, or the hospitality industry.

• 
  Certifications: Valid state security guard license (guard card) alongside First Aid and CPR certifications.

• 
  Skills: Strong verbal de-escalation, conflict resolution, active observation, and clear communication abilities.

• 
  Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk long distances, and patrol large hotel grounds for extended shifts.
