Court Security Officer, Unarmed Reserve/Part Time

Starside Security & Investigation, Inc. Court Services Division (CSD) is looking for Reserve Security Officers for sites in Austin Texas.

Reserve applicants must have a clean lifetime background not to exceed a class C Misdemeanor (as Verified by the Austin Police Department) and all applicants must pass CJIS and Security training programs in addition to training on X-ray machines, CCTV, and Metal Detectors.

Starside Security Officers must be professional and courteous at all times and have an excellent uniform appearance and grooming standards.

Ideal Candidate

• Clean Background / Clear Credit / Driving record
• Must be 21 Years of age or older
• Texas Non-Commissioned Security License (Minimum Level II)
• Previous Law Enforcement / Detention, Court Security experience, a strong plus
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Patrol assigned areas on foot
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify potential security threats
• Respond to emergency situations promptly and appropriately, providing first aid if necessary
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access or activities
• Willing to work 10 hours per day Monday thru Friday
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
• Handle any conflicts or disturbances in a professional manner
• Special Operations / Military a plus (DD214)

Compensation is $22.50 per hour. Security Officers should be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the public, site management, and administrators at local, city, county, and federal locations. As with all Court Service Division employees, Security Officers must be approved by the Austin Police Department, and the site they are going to be assigned at.

All Security Officers once hired for Full Time off Reserve list, are eligible after 90 days, health insurance which the company covers the monthly premium and vacation upon reaching their 1 year anniversary. Shift examples are as follows:

Monday – Friday: 7AM – 5PM (Hours may Vary)
