Armed Security Patrol Officer

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Patrol Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This role involves patrolling assigned areas, monitoring security systems, and responding promptly to incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong conflict management skills, experience in law enforcement or military service, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and loss prevention measures.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats
• Monitor surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing appropriate action such as first aid or CPR if necessary
• Enforce security policies by checking credentials, inspecting packages, and controlling access points
• Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and maintain logs of patrol activities
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required during critical situations
• Perform loss prevention activities by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
• Maintain a visible presence to reassure staff and visitors of their safety

Requirements

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred
• Valid certification in first aid and CPR preferred; additional certifications in surveillance or CCTV operation are a plus
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations professionally
• Knowledge of security procedures, loss prevention techniques, and technology
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts and respond effectively to emergencies
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
• Must possess a valid Texas Armed Security License
• Must be able to pass the US Army Fitness Test.
• Must have Active Shooter course and certificate.
• Must have current Firearms Qualification Certificate

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
