Job Overview

CTX Patrol Service LLC is hiring dependable, professional, and highly motivated Patrol Drivers to provide mobile security services throughout the Austin area.

This is an active patrol position for officers who can work independently, follow assigned routes, complete required checkpoints, respond to dispatch calls, prepare accurate reports, and properly care for company vehicles and equipment.

Patrol Drivers are paid $25.00 per hour and are expected to consistently meet CTX Patrol Service’s attendance, reporting, vehicle-care, customer-service, and patrol-performance standards.

This position is not designed for officers who want to remain inside a vehicle for the entire shift. Officers must remain alert, exit the vehicle at assigned properties, complete all required inspections, and maintain professional communication throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled vehicle patrols at apartment communities, commercial properties, and other client locations
• Complete all assigned property visits and checkpoints within the required timeframes
• Inspect parking areas, pools, buildings, gates, amenities, common areas, and other designated locations
• Respond promptly to dispatch calls, client concerns, disturbances, alarms, and suspicious activity
• Enforce client property rules professionally and consistently
• Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed security activity reports
• Submit current, property-specific photographs with all required reports
• Complete an accurate end-of-shift report before clocking out
• Use an assigned body camera during incidents and required interactions
• Maintain professional communication with residents, clients, dispatchers, law enforcement, and supervisors
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of assigned patrol vehicles
• Keep company patrol vehicles clean, fueled, and properly maintained
• Immediately report accidents, vehicle damage, safety concerns, missing equipment, or unusual activity
• Protect and properly return company keys, access devices, phones, body cameras, fuel cards, and other assigned equipment
• Follow all post orders, company policies, supervisor instructions, and applicable Texas security regulations

Pay

$25.00 per hour

This pay rate requires officers to consistently maintain CTX Patrol Service’s standards, including:

• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Completion of all assigned patrol stops
• Completion of checkpoints within required timeframes
• Accurate reports and quality photographs
• Prompt response to dispatch and supervisor communications
• Professional appearance and uniform compliance
• Proper body-camera use
• Professional customer service
• Responsible care of company vehicles and equipment
• Completion of all required end-of-shift documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to meet company vehicle-insurance requirements
• Current Texas security officer registration or ability to obtain the required registration
• Ability to work overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as assigned
• Ability to remain awake, alert, and actively working throughout the entire shift
• Ability to drive safely for extended periods
• Ability to enter and exit a patrol vehicle repeatedly during the shift
• Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, and inspect designated areas
• Ability to use mobile applications, GPS systems, checkpoint software, body cameras, and electronic reporting systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow written post orders and verbal instructions
• Dependable transportation to and from the CTX office or assigned reporting location
• Professional appearance and conduct
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security, mobile patrol, military, law enforcement, corrections, or customer-service experience
• Current Texas Level II security registration
• Experience patrolling apartment communities or commercial properties
• Experience writing detailed security and incident reports

Performance Expectations

Successful Patrol Drivers must:

• Report to work on time and in complete uniform
• Complete every assigned property visit and checkpoint
• Remain available to dispatch and supervisors throughout the shift
• Submit accurate reports using current photographs
• Follow assigned patrol routes and schedules
• Keep company vehicles clean and free from preventable damage
• Return all company equipment at the end of the shift
• Remain professional during resident, client, and law-enforcement interactions
• Never sleep while on duty
• Never skip assigned properties or checkpoints
• Never falsify reports, photographs, or patrol activity
• Never leave a shift without authorization or proper relief

Work Schedule

This position primarily involves overnight patrol assignments.

Shift times, days, routes, and weekly hours may vary based on operational and client needs. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
