Job Overview

We are seeking a professional, alert, and dependable Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at a secured facility in Downtown Austin, Texas. The officer will conduct routine foot patrols, monitor facility activity, observe and report suspicious behavior, enforce site policies, and help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and authorized personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout designated areas of the facility and surrounding property.
• Observe, identify, and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry when required by site procedures.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity and potential security threats.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in detailed daily activity reports.
• Respond professionally to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and other security-related incidents.
• Notify supervisors, facility management, or emergency services when necessary.
• Follow all site-specific security procedures, post orders, and company policies.
• Maintain professional communication with employees, visitors, tenants, and the public.
• Protect facility property and help ensure compliance with established safety and security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must meet applicable Texas licensing requirements for an unarmed security officer.
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain alert and professional throughout the assigned shift.
• Ability to walk and patrol for extended periods.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Must demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and professionalism.
• Previous security experience is preferred but not required, depending on employer requirements.

Position Requirements

• Work Environment: Secured facility in Downtown Austin, Texas.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and conduct routine patrols for extended periods.
• Professional Standards: Maintain accurate documentation, follow post orders, and promptly report incidents.

Important Note

This is an observe-and-report security position. Officers are expected to maintain a professional security presence, follow established procedures, and contact appropriate supervisors or emergency responders when incidents require additional assistance.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
