Armed- downtown Bar security starts 2-20-26 (Friday & Saturdays )

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly vigilant and professional Armed Security Guard to oversee safety and security at a downtown bar starting February 20, 2026. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of patrons and staff. This role requires a strong presence, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies. Candidates with backgrounds in law enforcement, military service, or security are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities

• Monitor the premises using CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular patrols of the bar area to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Manage access control by verifying identification and screening patrons as needed.
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, conflicts, or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR.
• Enforce rules and regulations to prevent unauthorized entry or disruptive behavior.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
• Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a firm but respectful presence.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, security, or related fields preferred.
• Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are highly desirable.
• Experience with surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly.
• Excellent conflict management and communication skills to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond decisively during emergencies.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and manage potentially confrontational situations safely. This position is critical in ensuring a safe environment for all patrons and staff at our downtown bar location starting February 20, 2026. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
