Position Overview

Amerishield Security Group is seeking reliable, professional, and observant Level II Non-Commissioned Security Officers for on-site standing guard positions in Austin.

This is a stationary security assignment at a designated client property. Officers are responsible for monitoring the property, controlling access, deterring unauthorized activity, responding to disturbances, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, employees, and client property.

The ideal candidate must be punctual, dependable, attentive, capable of working independently, and able to remain calm while professionally de-escalating difficult or confrontational situations.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Security: Remain at the assigned property throughout the shift and maintain a proactive security presence.

Access Control: Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and other access points to help ensure that only authorized residents, visitors, employees, and vendors enter restricted areas.

Property Patrols: Perform thorough foot patrols throughout the assigned property, including buildings, parking areas, common areas, pools, fitness centers, laundry rooms, and other designated locations.

Trespass Prevention: Discourage unauthorized individuals from entering or remaining on client property and address trespassing or loitering in accordance with company procedures.

Incident Response: Respond professionally and promptly to:

• Noise complaints and disturbances
• Trespassing, loitering, or unauthorized individuals
• Suspicious persons or activity
• Unsecured gates, doors, and common areas
• Property damage or vandalism
• Safety hazards and reports of unsafe conditions
• Resident or client security concerns

Conflict De-escalation: Use professional communication and verbal de-escalation techniques to calmly address disputes, disturbances, and confrontational situations.

Emergency Response: Contact law enforcement, the fire department, emergency medical services, property management, or a supervisor when additional assistance is required.

Incident Documentation: Complete clear, accurate, detailed, and timely daily activity reports, incident reports, and documentation of maintenance or safety concerns.

Operational Communication: Maintain professional communication with residents, visitors, clients, dispatchers, supervisors, law enforcement, and property personnel.

Requirements

Punctuality: Absolute reliability is required. Officers must report to their assigned post on time, every time, to ensure uninterrupted security coverage.

Security License: Must possess a current Texas Level II Non-Commissioned Security Officer Guard Card.

Reliable Personal Transportation: Must have dependable personal transportation to and from the assigned worksite. Reliance on public transportation is not suitable for this position.

Working Phone: Must possess a reliable, fully functioning mobile phone with active voice and data service for communication with dispatch and supervisors and for completing required security documentation.

De-escalation Skills: Must be able to remain calm, communicate professionally, and de-escalate difficult or confrontational situations.

Writing Skills: Must possess excellent writing skills and be capable of preparing clear, accurate, and detailed security reports.

Communication Skills: Must possess excellent verbal communication skills and interact professionally with residents, visitors, clients, dispatchers, supervisors, and law enforcement.

Independent Work: Must be able to work independently, remain attentive throughout the shift, follow instructions, and comply with site-specific procedures.

Attention to Detail: Must be observant and capable of identifying security concerns, suspicious behavior, property damage, and safety hazards.

Language Skills: Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Fluency in a second language is considered a significant advantage but is not required.
