A2A Security Agency Inc. is seeking professional, dependable Event Security Officers to support a variety of assignments in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for officers who are alert, customer-focused, and comfortable working in fast-paced public environments. Event Security Officers play an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming atmosphere for guests, staff, vendors, and performers.

Shift Schedule
Schedules vary depending on the event and may include:

• Day shifts
• Evening shifts
• Overnight shifts
• Weekends and holidays

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence at entrances, exits, checkpoints, and throughout event grounds.
• Monitor guest activity and help maintain order in high-traffic and restricted areas.
• Verify access credentials, tickets, wristbands, or permissions as required.
• Assist with crowd management before, during, and after events.
• Provide directions and respond to general guest inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
• Enforce venue rules, access restrictions, and safety procedures calmly and respectfully.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or policy violations.
• Use verbal de-escalation techniques to address conflicts or disruptive behavior.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports before the end of each shift.

Candidate Profile

• Active Texas Security Guard License (DPS) – required.
• Minimum 2 years of security experience preferred; event, venue, nightlife, customer service, or public-facing security experience is a strong asset.
• Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor.
• Customer-service oriented and comfortable interacting with large groups of people.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing event schedules.
• Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to remain alert and effective in busy, high-energy environments.

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
