Job Title: Security Concierge Officer
Rate: £14:30
Contracted Hours: 40 Hours Monday to Friday
Shift pattern:
15:00 – 23:00 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:
 Deliver outstanding customer service to staff, students, and visitors. This is a fundamental
aspect of the role
 Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client
 Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation
 Promote the client positively to all you come in to contact with, throughout the customer journey
 Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
 Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified
or allocated
 Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is
clear, courteous, polite, professional, and respectful
 Ensure complete client/tenant/other service provider confidentiality; protecting people and
information is paramount
 Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and
completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion
 Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of
their safe execution and practice. There may also be a need to become a fire marshal and you
will hold an EFAW (emergency First Aid at Work) qualification as a minimum. All site training
will be provided
 All Assignment Instructions / Operations Manual or Standard Operating Procedures and Risk
Assessments are to be reviewed, understood and followed
 Embrace and deliver the bespoke training requirements, specific to contractual obligation or
regulation
 Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible
standard
SECURITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Welcome and assist staff, clients, students and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous
fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey
 Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas
 Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required
 Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site
 Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises or property, escalating
where appropriate to do so
Essential Skills:
 Excellent communication skills.

 Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
 Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and prioritise to help solve
problems and overcome challenges
 Self-confidence and an interest in self-development.
 Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented
 Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required
 Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes
 Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the
context of the current environment
 Flexibility regarding working practices, hours, and responsibilities.
 Valid SIA
 Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills or the ability to train, obtain,
retain, and develop further in this field.
 Operation of any CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner
