Site Security Officer / Key Holder (CSCS Required)

We are looking for a temporary site-based key holder to manage access at a live construction / refurbishment site with completed apartments. Minor works are ongoing, and the role is to control access to the apartments and protect the finished property while contractors carry out their work.

Start date: Monday 15th December
End date: Christmas Day
Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Contract length: 9 days
Location: On-site
CSCS required

Role Overview

You will be responsible for holding and managing the apartment keys and giving controlled access to approved contractors who need to complete works inside the apartments. While contractors are working, you must ensure the property is respected and no damage is caused.

This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on access control, supervision, and property protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Hold and manage all apartment keys securely at all times
• Provide access to apartments for authorised contractors only
• Ensure contractors follow site rules when entering apartments
• Shoe covers must be worn
• Care taken with floors, walls, doors, and finishes
• Monitor works to prevent damage to the property
• Challenge and report any unsafe or unauthorised behaviour
• Act as the main point of contact on site for access-related matters
• Keep a simple log of access and attendance if required
• Ensure apartments and the site are locked and secure after access

Requirements

• CSCS card (essential)
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Experience in construction, facilities, security, or site supervision preferred
• Good awareness of protecting finished properties and managing contractors
• Able to follow instructions and report any issues or concerns immediately
