Job Overview:
Optimal Security is currently recruiting for a SIA Licensed Security Officer.
As a Security Officer you will be trained and required to work at our client premises to assist with the required opportunity.
On your days of work, you will come to site and be paid for assigned hours. If you are needed to cover extra hours you will be paid for that.
Job purpose:
To provide security and support duties in a professional and courteous manner in line with both the client requirements and Optimal Security’s policies and procedures.
Role requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Must hold a valid SIA Frontline Licence.
- Intermediate level PC Skills ( MS Office)
- 5 year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards (BS7858)
Duties include:
- Liaise on a daily basis with staff + the client and operational management teams.
- Support the fulfilment of the contracted/business objectives, through the range of duty assignments which will involve security and support duties.
- Contribute as a team member to ensure a positive customer experience for all visitors.
- Monitor the premises using surveillance cameras and patrols to ensure the security of vehicles, buildings, and personnel.
- Regulate access to the premises by verifying credentials of visitors, customers, and employees. Ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the compound/showroom area to detect any suspicious activity, potential security breaches, or safety hazards.
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles within the compound/showroom to ensure they are secure and undamaged.
- Respond promptly to alarms or distress calls, investigating the cause and taking appropriate action to resolve any security issues.
- Act swiftly and appropriately in the event of emergencies such as fires, accidents, or medical incidents, following established procedures to ensure the safety of all individuals present.
- Customer Assistance: Provide assistance and guidance to customers visiting the showroom, helping them with inquiries, directions, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Manage crowds during busy periods or events to maintain order and prevent any disruptions to the business operations.
- Handle conflicts or disputes that may arise on the premises in a calm and professional manner, de-escalating situations and enforcing company policies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all security-related incidents, activities, and observations, documenting them in detailed incident reports.
- Ensure that all security equipment such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems are functioning properly, reporting any issues for timely resolution.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations related to security, safety, and confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on security protocols, techniques, and best practices, continuously improving skills and knowledge.
