BID Team Leader
Reports to: BID Supervisor
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Role Purpose:
Support the BID Supervisor in the day-to-day delivery of BID operations, providing frontline leadership and direction to Street Team Members while maintaining a visible operational presence.
A Day in the Life of a BID Team Leader:
- Support briefings, coordinating patrols, engaging businesses, supporting Street Team Members and ensuring operational standards are maintained.
- Leadership & People Management
- Provide day-to-day supervision to Street Team Members.
- Support team briefings and debriefings.
- Monitor attendance, conduct, and performance.
- Support onboarding, coaching, and development.
- Escalate welfare and performance concerns to the BID Supervisor.
- Operational Service Delivery
- Coordinate daily patrol deployments.
- Ensure completion of operational tasks and patrol plans.
- Provide frontline cover and leadership during incidents.
- Support delivery of client objectives and service standards.
- Compliance Framework & Governance
- Ensure procedures, assignment instructions and risk assessments are followed.
- Promote compliance with licensing, health and safety and company policies.
- Support training and procedural compliance.
- Audit, Assurance & Monitoring
- Review report quality and accuracy.
- Ensure activity, incidents and intelligence are recorded correctly.
- Monitor team KPI compliance and escalate concerns.
- Client Relationships & Business Development
- Maintain positive relationships with businesses and stakeholders.
- Support local meetings and BID initiatives.
- Identify opportunities and escalate them to the BID Supervisor.
- Frontline BID Team Responsibilities
- Provide a visible, proactive, and reassuring presence within BID areas.
- Engage with businesses and communicate BID initiatives.
- Visit businesses regularly to offer support and reassurance.
- Report public realm and environmental issues.
- Identify, investigate, deter and report crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Support hotspot patrols and targeted operations.
Person Profile:
- Valid SIA License.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience leading or supporting teams.
- Ability to coach and motivate colleagues.
- Desirable
- Previous Team Leader experience.
- Experience within BID, security or community safety environments.
