The role of Retail Security Officer:

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to contribute to the safety and security of the premises and staff
• Carry out loss prevention duties and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• Carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager
• Keep site knowledge up to date and identify local developments
• Understand and implement fire and safety evacuation procedures
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required
• Maintain the security base in a clean and tidy condition
• Conduct yourself professionally at all times, wear full uniform, and clearly display your SIA licence

The ideal Retail Security Officer:

• Must hold an SG or DS SIA licence
• Must be aged 18 or over
• Have great communication and customer service skills
• Be tech-savvy and able to use digital devices for paperless administration
• Be a confident communicator and a team player
• Have the drive to provide a friendly and professional service
