Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and experienced dog handlers to join our team. This role involves extensive patrolling of council estates within the Camden borough to dissuade anti-social behaviour.
Duties
- Working in pairs, conducting foot patrols of up to 6x estates per shift.
- Use of patrol system to evidence patrols.
- Engagement with individuals perceived to be involved in anti-social behaviour utilising conflict management techniques.
- Electronic reporting of any anti-social related incidents and matters of health & safety.
- Deployment of K9 unit where safe and appropriate to do so.
- Commute to estates via own transport (all estates are within a short drive from one another).
- Resident engagement and escalation of matters of concern.
What must you have?
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience of a customer facing role and the importance of good interaction with members of the public.
- Understanding and implementation of conflict management techniques.
- The ability to prioritise your workload and to remain calm and focused when in a pressurised environment.
- The ability to calm and diffuse difficult situations and to be able to forge excellent relationships.
- NASDU accreditation and training documents.
Qualifications required:
- NVQ Level 2 Award for working as a Door Supervisor or Security Officer
- SIA Licensed Security Operative in either of the above sectors
- NASDU accreditation and training documents.
- Full 5-year checkable work history in accordance with BS:7858
- Current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service)
Shift Pattern & Remuneration:
- 24-60hrs per week
- Monday to Sunday, 14:00-02:00
- £15.00/hr PAYE
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 60 per week
