Job Title: SIA Licensed Security Professional – Rail Yard Security

Shifts:

• Day Shift: 08:00 hrs – 20:00 hrs
• Night Shift: 20:00 hrs – 08:00 hrs
• Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off

Responsibilities:

As a SIA Licensed Security Professional working with Cohort Security Group your key duties will include:

Perimeter Security:

• Conduct regular and thorough perimeter checks to maintain a secure rail yard environment.
• Implement proactive measures to prevent unauthorized access.

Access Control:

• Enforce access control protocols to regulate entry and exit points effectively.
• Verify the identity of personnel and visitors, ensuring compliance with security standards.

Surveillance:

• Utilise CCTV equipment for continuous monitoring of the rail yard.
• Promptly identify and respond to any suspicious activities or security breaches.

Incident Response:

• Demonstrate swift and effective response to security incidents or emergencies.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and emergency services as required.

Communication:

• Maintain clear and concise communication with fellow security professionals and HS2 personnel.
• Generate detailed incident reports in accordance with established procedures.

Collaboration with site management:

• Collaborate seamlessly with site representatives to align security measures with project objectives.
• Foster a positive and cooperative relationship with other contractors on-site.

Shift Management:

• Adhere to the specified shift patterns and rotation schedules for consistent security coverage.
• Ensure smooth handovers between shifts to maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications:

• Valid SIA License is mandatory (DS minimum).
• Previous experience in security roles, preferably in an industrial or rail yard setting.
• Full Driving Licence required (Manual or Automatic).

Remuneration:

• Pay rate: £14.24 per hour
