Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills and a proactive approach to loss prevention. This role requires the ability to monitor surveillance equipment, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible presence to deter potential threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
- Provide first aid assistance as needed and maintain accurate incident reports.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary during investigations or emergencies.
- Maintain a professional demeanour while interacting with staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid is desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
