Event Door Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Event Door Supervisor to ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of our events. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for attendees, staff, and vendors, managing access control and maintaining a secure environment. Your energetic presence and proactive approach will help create a welcoming yet protected atmosphere, allowing guests to enjoy events with confidence. Responsibilities

• Manage entry and exit points, verifying tickets, IDs, and credentials to control access for attendees, staff, and vendors.
• Conduct thorough security checks including bag inspections and surveillance to prevent unauthorized access or prohibited items.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or conflicts, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary, providing clear communication during incidents
• Enforce event policies and safety protocols consistently while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
• Document incidents, security breaches, or unusual activities through detailed reporting for future review.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles related field is highly desirable.
• Certification in first aid and CPR to provide immediate assistance during emergencies.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with security procedures including access control and incident reporting.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk across large event spaces, and respond quickly to dynamic situations.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor License.
• Customer service experience (preferred but not essential).
• Action Counter Terrorism (ACT) training provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 06 months

Pay: £12.71-£14.07 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 48 per week
