Security Officer/Concierge

About the Role

AV Support Services LTD is seeking a professional and reliable Female Security Officer / Concierge to work within a homeless hostel / supported housing environment.

This role is particularly suited to a female officer due to the nature of the setting and the need to support female residents where appropriate. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Control access to the building and monitor entry/exit
• Carry out regular patrols of the premises
• Ensure residents and visitors follow site rules
• Respond to incidents and de-escalate conflict
• Complete incident reports and maintain logbooks
• Liaise with staff and emergency services when required
• Support safeguarding and welfare concerns, particularly for vulnerable residents

Requirements

• Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding)
• Strong communication and conflict management skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Professional, reliable, and approachable

Desirable

• Experience in security, hostels, or supported housing
• Safeguarding or First Aid training
• Experience working with vulnerable individuals
