Summary
We are seeking a Security Officer in a Fire Watch position to join our team at Ashridge Group . In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety of our sites by monitoring fire hazards and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Your vigilance will contribute significantly to our mission of safeguarding our clients’ properties.
The Role of an Ashridge Waking Watch Warden
Put in place as a direct response to the tragic events at Grenfell Tower in 2017, Waking Watch is a fire safety measure put in place for similar types of buildings. Our Waking Watch teams are highly skilled and qualified to ensure buildings are safe and secure, we provide this service for both residential and commercial buildings.
The basic duties of a Waking Watch fire warden include a 24/7 patrol of buildings. This is carried out across all floors of the building to ensure all residents are protected. In the event of a fire, the Waking Watch team will alert the emergency services and ensure everyone in the building is fully informed on what is going and evacuated safely – in a pre-devised evacuation plan.
It’s also imperative to us that our wardens excel in public-facing settings, this ensures a level of trustworthiness for residents in buildings with a Waking Watch in place. An Active Awake Policy is followed by all our team so that residents are safe in the knowledge that they are always protected.
Our Waking Watch team undergo a n in-depth training induction programme before being deployed to any live project – so you are safe in the knowledge that they are up to date on everything they need to suit each client’s personal needs.

Hours: all shifts are 12 hours, 06:00 – 18:00 Day shift, 18:00 – 06:00 Night Shift
Shift Pattern: 6 on 3 off, (3 day shifts, 3 night shifts, 3 off)
PAYE rate: £13.45 per hour
Duration of contract: Approx. 3 – 6 months
