Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Retail Security Officer to safeguard our retail environment, ensuring the safety of staff, customers, and assets. This role involves proactive surveillance, access control, incident response, and loss prevention measures to maintain a secure shopping experience. Duties

• Monitor store premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR.
• Enforce store policies related to theft prevention and conduct thorough inspections to deter shoplifting.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or security incidents.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating potential threats effectively.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately and timely.

Skills

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques.
• First aid and CPR certification to provide immediate assistance in medical emergencies.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly.
• Familiarity with security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high attention to detail during long shifts.

Pay: $17.85-$32.95 per hour
