SSR Security Professionals – Full-time & Part-time [Squamish]

Join the SSR Security team as a full-time Security Professional! SSR is committed to delivering excellence in both protection and client experience. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service to clients. As an SSR Security Professional with SSR (Safety, Security, and Risk Management), our work is dynamic, with sites and schedules that change, you’ll gain valuable experience with sites in Squamish.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Security License (BST) – Basic Security Training
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License & Clean Driver’s abstract from ICBC
• Strong observation and communication skills, the ability to maintain self-control, and the ability to make quick decisions during emergency situations
• Must possess a High School Diploma. An additional diploma/degree/certificate in criminology or a law-enforcement-related study would be considered an asset
• Must be bondable and able to pass a security clearance
• Should be comfortable working alone or within diverse teams and must be able to stick to procedures and set routines
• Must pass a Pre-Employment (D&A) Drug & Alcohol test
• Must have an open availability
• Must act in a disciplined, honest, and ethical manner

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and visitors by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel
• Access Control
• Evict trespassers/vagrants
• Complete incident reports when necessary
• Providing great customer service to visitors & contractors
• Regular patrolling with the ability to stand for a minimum 8-hour shift
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

SSR provides comprehensive support including accommodation and travel expenses to eligible candidates selected for this position. Paid site-specific training will be provided to the selected candidates.
