Central Station Video Monitoring Operator

Job Title: Central Station CCTV Operator
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Central Station Operator to join our team. As a critical member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security alarms and CCTV cameras, ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats and respond accordingly
• Detect and report suspicious behavior or activity to the appropriate authorities and internal stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security incidents, CCTV footage, and reports
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CCTV equipment and alarm systems
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, alarms, and security breaches
• Collaborate with security personnel, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure effective security protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proven experience as a Central Station Operator, CCTV operator, or similar role
• Excellent attention to detail, observation, and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Strong knowledge of CCTV equipment, alarm systems, and security protocols
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Experience:

• Dispatch or Operator: 1 year (required)

Language:

• English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• BC Security Worker Licence (required)
