Static Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
• Operate and oversee CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity across various areas of the property
• Enforce access control procedures by verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, contractors, and employees
• Detect and respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including potential theft or vandalism
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage for reporting purposes
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to address security concerns
• Perform loss prevention measures by observing customer behavior and preventing theft or damage

Experience

• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is highly desirable
• Familiarity with surveillance technology, including CCTV systems and monitoring software
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and best practices in security operations
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behavior quickly and accurately
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and coordination with emergency responders or management
• Ability to remain alert and attentive during long periods of stationary duty in various weather conditions
• Preference given to those who live in Maple Ridge.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
