Casual Security Officer – Election & Local Security Assignments

Westridge Security is currently hiring Casual Security Officers to support upcoming local and provincial election assignments, as well as a variety of other security contracts throughout the region.

We are looking for reliable, professional and motivated security officers who are ready and eager to work.

Immediate Availability Required

We are specifically looking for officers who can commit to working full-day assignments on October 17 and October 24. If you are not available both these days please do not apply. There may also be additional shifts available in the days immediately before and after these dates.

These election assignments are an excellent opportunity to get started with Westridge Security and demonstrate your reliability and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Depending on the assignment, duties may include:

• Providing a visible and professional security presence
• Monitoring entrances, exits and designated areas
• Controlling access to buildings or restricted areas
• Conducting foot or vehicle patrols
• Monitoring for suspicious or unsafe activity
• Assisting clients, staff and members of the public in a professional manner
• Responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Contacting emergency services when required
• Completing accurate incident reports and shift documentation
• Following site-specific post orders and company policies
• Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

• A licensed Security Worker in British Columbia (Required)
• Available and committed to working the required election dates
• Reliable and punctual
• Professional and approachable
• Comfortable working with the public
• Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Able to communicate clearly and write accurate reports
• Comfortable working independently
• Willing to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when required
• Available to accept additional shifts when they become available

Previous security experience is an asset, but we are also interested in motivated licensed officers who are looking for an opportunity to establish themselves with a growing security company.
