Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bouncer/Security to join our team. As Security, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, patrons and staff. If you have a background with security in pubs, clubs or other drinking establishments, we encourage you to apply.

Duties:

– Greet and welcome guests as they enter the premises

– Monitor and control access to the building

– Maintain a visible presence at the entrance to deter underage individuals

– Assist with checking ID to make sure everyone is 19 yrs of age or older.

– Provide directions and information to guests

– Handle any inquiries or concerns from guests in a professional manner

– Check bags for anything that shouldn't be brought in. Example: outside food, drinks, alcohol, weapons, etc.

– Collaborate with other security personnel to maintain a safe environment

– Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure security

– Assist staff with monitoring premises and other duties.

Experience:

– Previous experience as a Door Attendant or in a similar security role

– Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and procedures

– Filling out Incident Reports

– Dealing with customers in a professional manner after customers have had a few drinks

Requirements:

– Valid BC Security License(BST)

– Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night shifts from 9 pm – 2:45 am.

– Strong communication and customer service skills

– Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations

– Excellent observation skills and attention to detail

– Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
