Premium Security & Parking Enforcement Security Guards (downtown Vancouver)

Genesis is recruiting for experienced staff for a premium client that pays an hourly rate of $21.45 after confirmation. We are seeking part and full time Enforcement Security Guards (mornings or afternoons, 8 hour shifts) working in downtown Vancouver.

ROTATIONS:

Full or part time, 8 hour shifts starting

• mid to late mornings
• mid to late afternoons

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Enforce rules and regulations of parking facilities and ensure dashboard tickets and parking permits are valid and on display. A large part of enforcement duties is issuing violations for parking infractions.

• Checking expiration of parking tickets displayed and parking permits/hang tags in vehicles
• Providing a security presence and report any security related issues and concerns
• Report any machine malfunctions back to Operations

Pre-requisites, Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid BC Security Licence
• Class 5 Driver’s Licence with clean abstract – international licences not accepted.
• Minimum 6 month’s security experience working at challenging sites in or similar to "Downtown Eastside" Vancouver environment.
• Speak, read and write fluent English, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A lot of comprehensive and well written reports are required for every shift.
• Physically fit to patrol long distances continuously and climb a multitude of stairs as well as conduct regular evictions of trespassers.
• Pleasant in demeanor and project a professional and well-groomed image.
• Customer-service focused and a team player, with strong attention to detail.
• Positive and outgoing personality, a self-starter with high initiative.
• Parking Enforcement experience preferred
• Positive, friendly, enthusiastic, energetic, and personable with a professional attitude
• Comfortable with use of mobile and parking apps and phone technologies
• Possess high energy levels, physically fit to drive, and patrol extensively, and ability to work outdoors under all weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.91-$21.45 per hour

Experience:

• Security guard: 1 year (required)
• Customer Service: 1 year (required)
• Parking Enforcement: 1 year (preferred)
