Event Security Supervisors (On call, mostly downtown Vancouver venues)

Genesis Security, a leader in event security across the Lower Mainland, is looking for experienced and confident Event Security Supervisors to join our dynamic team. You will oversee security personnel, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, crew, performers, and maintaining order at Rogers Arena, Vancouver Convention Centre, PNE, Rogers Forum, City of Vancouver and City of Surrey event sites, company or private events, graduations, cruises and more. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make quick decisions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate event security staff to ensure smooth, safe operations
• Act as the main point of contact for client representatives and emergency services
• Enforce security protocols and respond to incidents professionally and promptly
• Conduct briefings, ensure deployments, and team compliance with site SOPs
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and real-time problem-solving under pressure

Pre-requisites

• At least 3 years event security experiences in renown event venues
• Minimum 1 year proven event supervisory experience in events, venues, or crowd management
• Valid BC Security Worker License
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm and be assertive in high-pressure situations
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and variable shifts depending on event schedules

Job Types: Permanent, Casual

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week

Experience:

• Customer Service: 1 year (required)
• Event Supervisor: 1 year (required)
• event security guard: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• BC Security License (required)
