As a Security Supervisor, you’ll take a hands-on leadership role overseeing security operations and supporting a team of security professionals across multiple shifts. You’ll be responsible for keeping the site secure, maintaining high operational standards, responding to incidents, and ensuring your team is prepared to handle whatever comes their way.

You’ll work closely with your team, site leadership, and the client to keep operations running safely, efficiently, and professionally, while setting the standard for exceptional security and customer service.

Responsibilities for Security Supervisor

• Lead and supervise a team of on-site security professionals, providing direction, support, and leadership throughout daily operations
• Coordinate and maintain daily team schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage across all shifts and site requirements
• Ensure all security personnel are trained on, follow, and remain up to date with site-specific procedures, post orders, and client requirements
• Manage site access control, including the issuance, tracking, and administration of access cards and credentials
• Monitor daily security operations and ensure site standards, policies, and procedures are consistently followed
• Complete and review daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Respond to operational issues and incidents, providing strong leadership and sound decision-making in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Work closely with the client and site leadership to address security concerns and maintain a high level of service
• Perform other security and supervisory duties as required

Qualifications for Security Supervisor

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• This supervisor position is a key step, but certainly not the last.
• Excellent leadership skills
• 1+ number of years of experience in security and team management
• First aid certification – an asset
• Hold a BC valid security license
