Retail Security Guard

About the Position

We are looking for a professional, highly visible Tactical Security Guard to provide a strong security presence at a retail location. The primary focus is the safety of customers and store staff, maintaining a visible presence at the front entrance, and responding professionally to security concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a highly visible post at the front entrance.
• Monitor the entrance and retail floor from the assigned position.
• Deny entry or request removal of individuals when directed and permitted under site procedures.
• Document denied entries, removals, theft-related incidents and safety incidents.
• Use de-escalation and a hands-off approach at all times.
• Contact authorities if an individual becomes combative or refuses to comply.
• Conduct patrols of the sales floor when requested by management.
• Assist management with the closing security walk when requested.
• Maintain professional communication and limited, work-related interaction with store staff.

Requirements

• Valid security licence.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Able to remain standing and alert for extended periods.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Strong de-escalation and observation skills.
• Reliable and punctual.

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
