AST Event Security Guard

Job Overview

We are seeking vigilant and professional AST Event Security Guards to help ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property during various events.

This role involves monitoring event areas, maintaining a safe environment, enforcing security procedures, and responding appropriately to incidents when required. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, observant, and able to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

Requirements

• Valid BC Security Worker Licence
• Valid Advanced Security Training (AST) certification
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Able to remain calm and respond appropriately in difficult situations
• Physically capable of performing security duties
• Previous security or event security experience is preferred
• Flexible availability, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment
• Monitor assigned areas, entrances, and access points
• Respond to incidents and security concerns
• Handle conflicts professionally and follow proper procedures
• Assist with crowd management when required
• Complete incident reports when necessary
• Follow company, client, and site policies
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times

Job Type: Part-time / Casual / On-call
Location: Vancouver & Lower Mainland, BC
