About the opportunity

We are a dynamic, fast-paced organization operating a high-volume, multi-building urban campus that serves a large and diverse community of staff, clients, and visitors. We are seeking professional, adaptable Front Facing Security personnel to join our front-line team in multiple capacities. This role is central to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and operationally smooth environment across all areas of our facilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all visitors, staff, and community members; managing access, directing traffic flow, and providing accurate information across a busy multi-entrance facility
  • Conduct routine security patrols and monitoring of building interiors and common areas; respond to and document incidents, safety concerns, and access issues in accordance with established protocols
  • Manage access control systems including key issuance, lost and found, and credential verification for staff and authorized visitors
  • Coordinate room and space bookings, equipment loans, and resource scheduling for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the setup, monitoring, and wrap of internal events and special programming including evenings and weekends, ensuring all logistical and guest experience standards are met
  • Handle front desk operations including multi-line phone, email triage, package and mail intake, and general administrative support
  • Liaise with facilities, operations, and security teams to escalate and follow up on maintenance requests, safety incidents, and access anomalies
  • Enforce organizational policies and community standards with professionalism and de-escalation skills maintaining a safe and respectful environment at all times
  • Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and communication handover notes

What we’re looking for

  • Prior experience in security, front desk operations, or a community-facing security associated role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure including experience with conflict resolution or de-escalation
  • Comfort working independently and taking initiative during off-hours and low-staffing shifts
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain); Security Licence an asset
  • Proficiency with standard office software and comfort learning booking or access management systems
  • Flexible availability including evenings, overnights, weekends, and special events

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
